Story of a Pie >>

When I was a kid I would go to my mate's house across 2-4 fields. They had two pigeons who came into the garden frequently, and we would feed them. As time went by the pigeons got fatter, and my mate's parents went through a dry spell (money-wise).

One day I was at my mate's and there was pie for supper and I was invited to stay for the meal. It was very nice pie, and I had never tasted anything like it before. When me and my mate went out later to feed the pigeons, they were gone. A few years later we found out from her parents what was in the pie, and what happened to our pigeons!

Square Pie Santa Brings Christmas Jollity >>

Based on a true story inspired by Nick Smith

It was three days before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring. Other than Nick Smith, that is. December 23rd,
and he'd still not sorted a Square Pie Christmas Pie for his parents.

Needless to say, the situation was critical. His parents didn't live in London, and had no immediate plans to visit. Nick had professed to
them his love of the Christmas Pie but, with their avoidance of the Big Smoke, how was he to impress upon them the endless joy of all
things Square?

With but a few hours remaining before stockings were a-stuffed, crackers a-pulled and angels started a-heralding, Nick emailed us
in a Pie Panic.

Fortunately, while we may not have a fleet of flying reindeer, nor indeed a flowing white beard or enormous sack of gifts, we do have a
large freezer. We crafted a couple of special Christmas Pies and put them aside for Nick. So keen was he to spread the Square word, that
he came into our Selfridges shop soon after Christmas to collect the little beauties.

They were then transported down to Devon in a cool bag by his parents - and were the feast of choice when it came to ushering in the New Year. Auld Lang Syne, the occasional drop of alcohol and their first taste of the Square Pie Christmas Pie - could the New Year be rung in
in greater style...?
