The aim of square pie is simple - to make the best tasting pies from quality ingredients you can trust and sell them at a fair price in a decent shop with friendly staff and good service. It would be nice if you liked the music as well!

We believe that great tasting food comes from simply using quality fresh ingredients and cooked properly, which is what we do. We don’t cut corners with our pies or add any artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives to them. Pies the way they should be.

The same approach goes for everything else we sell in the shop, our mash is made with the skins on for flavour from Maris Piper potatoes, milk, butter and salt and pepper, nothing else. We make our quiches and tarts to the same standards as the pies and stock similar brands of drinks like Chegworth Juice and the fantastic Monmouth Coffee from Borough Market.

We are always trying to make the pie experience better so if you ever have any comments on the pies or service in any of our shops (good or bad), suggestions or generally want to talk pie please email martind@squarepie.com.
 
 
How Square Pie started

Martin Dewey started Square Pie in November 2001. He came from a background of managing music bands, working in banks and being sacked by internet companies. These different corporate lifestyles all had one common theme -the same old sandwich every lunchtime, which was one of the reasons to sink his teeth into the ‘pie project’ of all time.

Since then its been a great ride and more and more people are now enjoying our pies. We now have shops at Spitalfields Market, Canary Wharf and Selfridges Food Hall and if your lucky enough to fly Virgin upper Class you may well get offered a Square Lamb and Rosemary Pie.

Chicken Curry
Our small chicken curry pies gets a special monthly outing in the big pie. Prime chicken breast and thigh in a beautiful home made curry sauce including onion, tomatoes, ghee, turmeric, paprika, black mustard seed and fenugreek. As Observer food says 'Tastes better than it looks...' which we felt was a bit harsh but better than the other way around!

You can now upgrade your airport experience at our new
site at Heathrow airport.


We’re very proud to open our shiny new shop on 1st May on the landside (before you go through passport control) side at Heathrow’s Terminal 1. Please come down and enjoy your favourite freshly baked pie and mash before you fly and we’ll also be doing a full breakfast offer in the morning. You’ll even be able to take your meal through passport and eat on board if you want. It’s great to see the sky’s no longer the limit for a freshly baked pie!
